Metipranolol is a beta-blocker that reduces pressure inside the eye.

Metipranolol ophthalmic (for the eyes) is used to treat open-angle glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye.

    pain or discomfort in arms, jaw, back, or neck
    pain, swelling, or redness in joints
    pounding in the ears
    puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
    redness, pain, swelling, or itching of the eye, eyelid, or inner lining of eyelid
    shortness of breath
    skin rash
    sweating
    tightness in chest
    unusual tiredness or weakness
    wheezing
    vomiting
    If any of the following symptoms of overdose occur while taking metipranolol ophthalmic, get emergency help immediately:

    dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position suddenly
    extreme fatigue
    irregular breathing
    swelling of face, fingers, feet, or lower legs
    weight gain
    Some metipranolol ophthalmic side effects may not need any medical attention. As your body gets used to the medicine these side effects may disappear. Your health care professional may be able to help you prevent or reduce these side effects, but do check with them if any of the following side effects continue, or if you are concerned about them:
