Common degarelix side effects may include:
chills or hot flashes;
abnormal liver function tests;
joint pain, back pain;
increased blood pressure;
impotence, loss of interest in sex, trouble having an orgasm; or
pain, swelling, redness, or a hard lump where the medicine was injected.
Usual Adult Dose for Prostate Cancer Starting dose: 240 mg given as two subcutaneous injections of 120 mg at a concentration of 40 mg/mL. Maintenance dose: 80 mg given as one subcutaneous injection at a concentration of 20 mg/mL every 28 days.
