Cardiovascular side effects have included bradycardia, tachycardia and hypertension.
Dermatologic side effects have included rash and slight whealing with splotchy erythema at the injection site.
General side effects have included peripheral edema.
Hypersensitivity side effects have rarely included anaphylaxis.
Patients with a preexisting allergic disease and/or a previous reaction to natural ACTH may experience a rare hypersensitivity reaction to cosyntropin.
